17th March 2012

Well I was really in the dog house today.  It wasn't my fault though, it was those rabbits!!!  I saw one and ran after it, then in ran into the brambles and bracken, so I had to follow.  Okay so it was 35 minutes before I came back out again, but what's a dog to do?  You can't just let the scent go cold.

Never got close to it though, tricky little things they are, especially that one out the back.  Sits in his hutch when I go out, just teasing me.

It was a lovely day to chase the rabbits anyway, I don't know why the boss was so bothered, just because it took two hours to get home in the end.  If it was raining I could understand, but it was warm and sunny.

I'm sure that's why I had to have a bath when I got home, I don't know what's wrong with being muddy though, it's just not fair.

Tuesday February 28th

It's not fair, everytime I want to try out a new fashion I end up having to have a shower!  I hate showers as well, they make me smell all fresh and clean.....yuk.

I mean, what is wrong with mud socks?  I think they'd become quite popular if people just allowed them in the house. But noooo, you put on a set of mud socks and whoosh, you're whisked up at the front door and plopped straight into the bath :-(

I think they look quite dashing, can't see what all the fuss is about.

Tuesday 21st February

Met a greyhound on the beach this week.  Man, those guys are fast!!  I did manage to catch up with him a few times, but that was only when he stopped or changed course. 

That was a lovely day, it's a pity it's done nothing but rain ever since.  The kids are back at school now, so it's back to walking with granddad on the days when the boss works.  I don't mind that, it means I've got Valey to play with.

Today though we were up the quarry and through the mist I could only see Nella.  She's good to play with too, we had a great run round, although she's as mad as a hatter and rolls in all the muddy puddles.

I'm still doing my best to keep warm, not that it's cold in the house, but I just like to snuggle up in the quilt (I managed to get it before it was put back on the bed after being washed).

Thursday 9th February

Cold, cold, cold.  That's what we've had lately, some of the days have been nice. Like on Tuesday, it was lovely and sunny even though it was frosty.  All the gang were back out walking, they've all got over the bout of kennel cough that they had.  Thank goodness I didn't get it, because it sounds horrible.

Last night was so cold the rain froze as soon as it fell, so the pavements were all icy and slippy.

This is me sneaking a nap under a dressing gown.  Well with all this cold you have to stay warm somehow :D

Saturday 4th February 2012

What a horrible day, it's rained almost none stop, everywhere else has got snow though, but not us.

I'm staying well and truly under my quilt, too blooming cold to be going out there. It was bad enough this morning having to go out.

Saturday 28th January

Another lovely frosty day today.  This afternoon's walk to Walney was lovely, a bit too cold to dip in the water though.

I haven't been posting much, mainly as the boss has been working a lot so I've been going to granddad's and walking with him and Valey.  Me and Valey play on the beach, I pinch the ball and she chases me for it, it's great fun.

I think the overtime has finished for a while now though, because I heard the boss saying that people are back off the sick and no one is on holiday.  So things will be getting back to normal.

This isn't new, but I just can't help putting photos of myself up.

Nearly Christmas!!

We had a bit of snow last week but it soon disappeared.  Although it stayed on the hills for a bit longer.  This was the scene from one of my walks.
