Sunday 26th December

It was my very first Christmas yesterday.  I got a special stocking with lost of tasty treats and a new ball that was made out of rope.  I love the new ball, it's brilliant to chew on.

We spent the day at Valey's and all the people had a big dinner, we had a treat of pig's ears. Valey didn't really like them so I ate hers as well :D

Monday 20th December

There's been loads more snow, it was almost up to my belly when we first went out.  I like playing in it, but it makes it hard to run properly.

Saturday 11th December

Not been feeling myself today, I've hardly eaten anything.  Mum says it's because my baby teeth are falling out, and my mouth is sore.  She's probably right, because I've still been having a good run round with my friend Valley.

Sunday 5th December

Not a great day yesterday :(  I was chasing the cat (I know I shouldn't but can't help myself) and Sean tried to stop me, but he tripped and landed on my toe.  It really, really hurt and I cried a lot, then when  I tried to walk it hurt too much.  So I had a trip to the vet and he gave me an injection, which started to make me feel better after a while.

By the end of the day I could run around again, but I think chasing the cat was a really bad idea.

Then today we went out and I could hardly stand up.  The boss lady (who I'm gonna call mum now) said it was ice all over the pavements.  She could hardly walk either.  Very cold on my toes too.  But I've got a new coat, so my top was toasty and warm.

Sunday 28th November

Another post, two in one day.

Can you believe I got told off yesterday, and the cheek of it, I got called a silly dog!!  Just because I wanted to see what the frozen water was like and decided to wander out to talk to the ducks!  I mean, what's wrong with that?  There was no need to put my lead back on.

Sunday 28th November

Loads of white stuff on the ground these last two days.  The people have been calling it snow, and they don't seem to like it very much, complain that it's too cold.

I love it, it's brilliant, it makes my feet a bit cold, but it's great to run round in.  I hope there's loads more of it :-)

Thursday 25th November

Don't like this frost stuff at all, it makes my feet all cold when I'm walking :(

My teeth keep falling out too, soon I'll have none left and I'll only be able to eat soup!

Monday 22nd November

Brrr, it's gone cold, I don't really like being out in the cold, I haven't got a very thick coat, and even with my jacket on I still shiver.

It's just not on, I spent ages perfecting being able to squeeze through the dog guard in the car, and I soon as I do they put my crate in the boot instead.  All I want to do is sit at the front, what's wrong with that?

Thursday 4th November

Yay, I'm certified!

I got my first certificate from my classes and I can move up to the next class, so I'm not a beginner anymore.  Good job too, because I've been working really hard.  Although the treats have made it enjoyable, so can't complain.

I'll get to meet some new dogs next week too, because there will be 10 instead of 6, so that'll be exciting.

This thing tomorrow doesn't sound very good though, I keep hearing about bonfire night and fireworks, I'm a bit apprehensive about it, but my people will look after me, I know that for sure.

Sunday 31st October

There are some very strange orange things about today, pumpkins I think they're called.  Not sure what it's all about, but they look scary.

Some people are just strange.  We went for a walk up to the beach today, and there was a dog on a lead, I went to go and see him but the owner got all huffy.  So we went off down an off path, and the silly man followed us.  Of course I had to keep going back to see the dog on the lead, I mean what else do you expect a puppy like me to do?  So then we took another path and the silly man followed again.  By that time the boss lady said if he was daft enough to keep following then she wasn't going to keep calling me to come back.  Shame really because I get a treat each time!

Wednesday 27th October

Had a nice walk in Grizedale today, still chickened out of going in the stream, but the little people paddled in their wellies.

Stopped for cake at the cafe afterwards, except I never got any, how wrong is that ??

Sunday 24th October

I had a lovely walk with Jessie today.  Jessie is a golden retriever who belongs to the boss lady's sister.  She lovely, it's just a shame she can't run the same as she used to.  I heard the people talking about how she has had to have an operation on bother cruciate ligaments, which has meant she's had to spend a lot of time not having proper walks, it's so sad.

But it was still a nice walk, until I fell in the water that is.  I decided to have one of my mad half hours and race up and down.  The trouble was I got too close to the edge of the stream and I fell in.

Boy was it manky!!  All the 'waste' from the fields washes down into that stream, so I ponged a bit when I got out.  Still, it was a nice day, and I dried off quick.  Then I got a lovely bath when I got home :-)

Thursday 21st October

I had fun tonight, I went to my first puppy training class.  There were 6 of us puppies altogether, I'm sure I was the best lol.  I wouldn't mind going every night, because I ended up getting loads and loads of treats, it was well worth the bit of sitting and lying down I had to do.

The people in charge gave the boss lady a clicker to try.  That was quite good, because it means when I hear it click I'm going to get a treat!

Saturday 16th October

What is wrong with big dogs?  They are so mean to me :-(  Their humans seems to say it's because I'm small and a puppy, and they're nervous about me jumping around.  But that's no excuse to snap at me IMO, they're just big meanies

Still it doesn't stop me enjoying my walks on the beach, it's brilliant being able to run up and down the sand dunes. I keep getting loads of sand up my nose though!

The boss lady reckons I'm doing really well, cos I haven't 'been' inside the house all week.  Seems to me that it's worth it, because I get lots of treats for going outside :D

Wednesday 13th October

I've been practising being a pest lately :D  I've been biting a lot, but for some reason the people don't like it, I reckon they're just soft, so I keep trying.

I have a new coat now, it's all shiny so I stand out in the dark, I look really fancy in it.  It's a bit cold out there now, I prefer being inside where it's nice and warm.

Saturday 2nd October

Went to the beach with Valey today, Valey is the dog that lives with the boss lady's brother.  We ran and ran forever, I was shattered when I got home, but it was so much fun, we ran through the sand dunes for ages.  A nasty dog came and bowled me over, but Valey let him know who was boss, just wait until I get big, when I see him again he won't knock me down so easy.

It's been a good day all round, even the mad moggy has been nice to me and sat near me.  Maybe it's because I'm almost as big as her now, another week and I reckon I'll be bigger than her.

I love this thing, if I stand here long enough someone gets on with me, or gives me a push, it's great.

Thursday 30th September

This walking lark is great, except when it rains, that's horrible and I don't like it.  I've got a coat but that doesn't stop my head getting wet.

I've been to the beach loads of times and now I'm allowed to walk without my lead, I can run up and down, and up and down, and up and down the sand dunes and I never run out of energy, it's brilliant :-)

The boss lady kept throwing a ball for me today, that was okay, but seemed a bit pointless, everytime I brought it back she threw it away again!!

Saturday Sept 25th

I've had a busy week, it's a huge wide world out there.  I've been for something called walkies, wow it's fun.  There are loads and loads of things to sniff at, and I've met loads of new dogs.  Some are giants, but some are small, although none are quite as small as me.

I've also seen some things called ducks and swans, but they run away before we get chance to get close, and they float off on the water.

It's great being able to go out, but I get really tired, helps me to sleep at night that's for sure.

Thursday 16th September

Ouch, that was not nice.  I had my injection, then they gave me a microchip in my neck, that hurt a lot :-(  It's supposed to mean that someone will be able to bring me home if I get lost, or if someone dognaps me.  The injection makes me hyper at first though, I ran round and round the house like a loon.

Wednesday 15th September

A funny few days for me.  Yesterday wasn't the best, I had to be on my own for most of the day because the boss lady has a new job.  At least it's only one day a week though.  I managed to amuse myself with my kong and other toys.

I keep hearing them talking about another injection tomorrow, I can't say I'm looking forward to that.  Although it sounds like I might be able to go out of the garden soon :-)

Saturday 11th September

Haha, had them racing round after me today.  Lauren was tidying out her toy box and I kept pinching things :D  Went out in the car again today, I can't wait until I'm allowed to go out, it looks like there's lots of fun places out there to visit.

Friday 10th September

I've got a radio now.  It gets put on at night or when the boss lady goes to work.  It makes me feel a bit better, I don't feel so alone, so I've stopped crying at night now :-)

Had fun yesterday making Lauren chase after me when I pinched a tissue, in and out of the house, she was worn out at the end :D

Tuesday 7th September

Didn't have a good night, still don't like my crate, but I guess I'll get used to it.  But I'm pooped now.

I've grown a bit now, I can get up on the couch by myself.  I can't get up the stairs any more, they've put a gate across there.  I can't understand why, it's not like I chewed anything useful.

Sunday 5th September

Not a good day today.  First the big black dog came over, I was just trying to play when she growled and snapped at me.  I don't think I want to go near her again.

Then the cat was in a bad mood, when I jumped on her tail she spun round and bashed me on the head.  I'm still chasing after her though, but she jumps up too high, just wait until I'm big.

I got a new squeaky toy, it's really loud and annoying, I love to squeak it :D

Friday 3rd September

I'm getting used to sleeping on my own now, I still cry a bit, but not as much as I used to.

The nasty man who stabbed me yesterday said it was okay for me to meet other dogs in the family who've had their vaccinations, whatever that means.

So today we went to visit two great big monsters, one black one, she was quiet  and just ignored me really.  But the big golden coloured one bounced about all over, knocked me over a couple of times.  But I got her back, I pinched her toys and hid them, she kept pinching them back though, it was real fun.

Thursday 2nd September

What a shock today, I was just started to get used to things when off we went in the car again.  I don't really like the car it swishes around too much.  But it wasn't for long, just a couple of minutes.

Then we went into this building that smelled horrible, all clinical and nasty.  There were some other dogs there, they were huge, like monsters!  Lucky I didn't have to talk to them, I think they would have eaten me.

But then the horrid thing happened, we went to see this man and he stabbed me in the back of the neck, and gave me some medicine to drink.  Ow that hurt, they said it's good for me, I don't know how they work that out.

Anyway, this is me sleeping, but this time I was brave enough to sleep next to the cat.  She's okay, she can be a bit moody sometimes and doesn't like to play much.  She jumps up on the side I can't reach when I chase her tail, I mean, what's wrong with that?

I also got this thing, which is really cool, I can sleep in there and no one else can fit in, so it's my little place all to myself.

Saturday 28th August

I don't care what they say, I don't like being on my own at night, it's just not nice.  Luckily the one called mum is a real softie, she let me sleep with her last night.

It's quite today, the two smaller ones (called children) have gone away for the weekend, so me and mum have been playing, and she's been telling me to come a lot.  I think that means I have to go over to see her, don't see why I should, but she gives me a little treat to eat, so if she's daft enough to do that, I'll keep on going over to see her.

I was on my own for a bit today, I didn't like that one little bit, mum said it was just because she had to pop out to Asda.  I'm not sure what an Asda is but it felt like she was gone for hours, she said it was just 10 minutes though.  I cried a lot when she was gone, and couldn't stop even when she got back because I got my self all worked up, I thought she might not come home.  But she did and gave me a big fuss, so I managed to calm myself down eventually.

Friday 27th August

That was a scary night.  Don't get me wrong my bed was all soft, and I had a nice teddy to cuddle up to, the boss lady (I think she's called mum, but she doesn't look like my mum) even put a nice warm bag underneath my blanket to keep me warm.  But I wanted my mum and my brother and sisters, so I cried a lot.  After a bit the little girl (she's called Lauren) let me sleep with her and that was nice.

I got up really early in the morning and woke Lauren up, she was pleased to see me, I could tell because she got up and took me outside so I could go to the toilet.  That was really nice of her.

I felt like having a proper look around today so I decided to try chewing every thing I could see.  Most of the time the people took the things away and said no, I'm not sure what they mean by that, but I reckon I can work it out soon.

I had scrummy porridge for breakfast, but at dinner time I had something they called Puppy Iams, yuck, I didn't like that at all, so I had a couple of nibbles and left it.  I heard the one called mum say that if I don't eat any tomorrow either then they'll get a new type.

My First Day

Today was my first day at my new home.  I was just minding my own business with my mum and brother and sister (I don't know where my other sister went, she went off in a strange car yesterday and didn't come home all night).  When suddenly a car arrived and a nice lady got out, I'd seen her before about two weeks ago and she made a big fuss of me then.  I was only six weeks old then, now I'm eight weeks so I'm pretty big and tough.

The lady went to talk to my mum's boss, then after a while they came to pick me up.  The new lady made a big fuss of me and let me see her car from the inside.  Then suddenly we were off, the car was bouncing about on the dirt track, I was a bit scared because I'd never been in a car before.  But pretty soon we were at a different house. 

Inside there was a girl who screamed in delight when she saw me, and a boy who was a bit older, they made a big fuss too.

I keep hearing them say this is my new home.  They are very nice, but sometime I wish my mum was here.
